At a time when “Trail” motorcycles are emerging as the most dynamic segment in the two-wheel market, Michelin unveils the MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2, a new-generation tyre combining safety, enjoyment and freedom. Designed for riders who commute daily yet dream of escape, this tyre marks a key milestone in the Group’s global “Trail” strategy.
The “Trail” segment: undergoing major transformation
Long focused on off-road use, the “Trail” world has become the landscape of versatility and exploration:
-
From an “off-road” segment, it has evolved into balanced road/trail use,
-
From an expert male universe to a diverse community,
-
From the pursuit of pure performance to the quest for adventure, emotion and freedom.
“Trail” riding now stands as a true lifestyle, embodying the very spirit of travel and escape from urban life to the nature.
MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2: the tyre of modern freedom
Designed for mainly road use with confident off-road ability, the new MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2 is aimed at demanding riders seeking daily safety and the pleasure of exploring wherever inspiration leads.
“I ride with complete peace of mind on the road, and at any moment I can leave the asphalt for an adventurous break.” — this is the promise of this new tyre.

A strategic lever for Michelin’s growth in the “Trail” segment
In six years, global “Trail” tyre sales have doubled, growing twice as fast as the overall leisure market. In 2024, they surpassed “Custom” tyre sales for the first time and now represent, for Michelin, about one in five leisure tyres sold.
The launch of the MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2 forms part of a comprehensive plan to make Michelin a major player in the “Trail” segment by 2030.
This ambition rests on three pillars:
-
Image and legitimacy — Embedding Michelin in the world of adventure and travel, building on its off-road competition heritage (Dakar Rally, Enduro World Championship, etc.).
-
Community engagement — Creating strong bonds with users via social media, “Test Riders”, shared content and feedback (#AnakeeFamily).
-
Strengthened OEM presence — Collaborating with major manufacturers to homologate the range on the most iconic “Trail” models.
